Chili Idli: Spicy and tangy dish

Ingredients:
2 cups idli, cut into pieces
2 teaspoons garlic, finely chopped
1 teaspoons ginger, finely chopped
1.5 to 2 teaspoons green chilies, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder
1/4 to 1/3 teaspoon sugar or as required
1 teaspoon soy sauce or as required
1/2 teaspoon red chili sauce or as required
2 tablespoons oil
1/4 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup sliced capsicum
Salt as required
Vinegar as required
Finely chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
Making of Chilli Idli:
In a wide pan, heat about 1 tablespoon of oil. Once heated, add idli pieces. Keeping the flame low, fry the idlis and keep tossing at regular intervals so that idli is evenly fried. Fry until crisp and golden.
Transfer the idlis on the plate and keep it aside. Now, in the same pan heat about 1 tablespoon of oil. Once the oil gets heated, add finely chopped ginger, garlic, and green chilies. Mix well and saute for about a few seconds.
Then add chopped onions and saute for about 3-4 minutes or until translucent. The add chopped capsicum and saute for about 2-3 minutes or until half cooked. Now add black pepper powder, sugar and salt as per the taste. Mix well and then add soya sauce and red chili sauce.
Mix the sauces and then add the fried idlis. Mix gently and let the ingredients and sauces cook for about a minute. Turn off the gas and garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.
